Budner Performance Group was founded by Will R. Budner, MSc., a performance psychologist and strategist with deep experience developing high-impact programs for organizations, teams, and high-performing individuals. Will holds a Master of Science in Performance Psychology from the University of Edinburgh, where he specialized in applied mental skills, high-pressure performance, behavior, and resilience. His academic work is paired with extensive real-world experience leading and transforming performance-driven organizations.
Will served as the Director of Performance and Programming at a consulting firm, where he designed and executed large-scale development programs for major law firms across the North America and Europe.
His work integrates psychology and business strategy, elevating program effectiveness, strengthening client engagement, and supporting the growth of thousands of lawyers. Will has led high-performing teams, developed comprehensive training systems, and implemented data-driven performance frameworks that reshaped how organizations approached talent development and client growth.
His background also includes mental performance consulting for touring musicians and competitive athletes, including coaching the University of Edinburgh men’s and women’s hockey programs, where he built and ran a full-scale mental training system for more than 50 athletes.
Earlier roles in professional sports, nonprofit program leadership, and high-pressure communications environments further shaped his expertise in decision-making, human behavior, and performance under stress.
Across every chapter of his career, Will has been recognized for his ability to blend psychology, communication, strategy, and coaching into practical, high-impact support for people who operate in demanding roles. His work now powers BPG’s mission: helping organizations, leaders, and performers build clarity, resilience, and sustainable excellence.
